Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This policy describes how SongRepeater ("we", "us") handles information when you use the app. We keep this lean because the product is built for practice, not profiling.

Local preview mode

When the app runs in local storage mode, your loop regions, track titles, and related editor data are saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not receive or store that data on our servers.

Local audio files

When you open a local audio file, your browser reads and plays it on your device. The file is never uploaded to SongRepeater or our servers. Your browser may keep a file reference in IndexedDB so you can reopen the same track without selecting the file every time. Loop regions for that file still live in local storage, like YouTube tracks. If you clear browser data or switch devices, you may need to select the file again.

Cookies and preferences

We store your language and theme preference in small cookies on your device (songrepeater.locale and songrepeater.theme). They remember choices you make in the app, such as visiting a localized page or switching light or dark mode. They are functional only: we do not use them for advertising or to track you across sites.

Information you provide

You paste YouTube URLs to open videos. We extract the public video id from the link. You may also choose a local audio file from your device; that file stays on your device and is not uploaded to us. We do not ask for an account in the current version.

YouTube

Playback is embedded from YouTube. When you watch a video, YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply. We do not download or host the audio or video files.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads that may be personalized based on your visits to this site and elsewhere on the web. For more information, see how Google uses data for advertising.

Contact

If you email us, we use your message only to respond. We do not sell personal information. See the contact page for how to reach us.

Changes

We may update this page when features change, for example when optional cloud sync launches. The date at the top will change when we do.
